Have you ever thought about what you would wear if you were going to walk a red carpet? When I watch glitzy award shows, I look at the gowns the celebs are wearing and think, would I wear that? Well, I have been browsing the Bergdorf Goodman website and I found several looks that I would rock on a red carpet.

Today is the Friday of a much needed long weekend. It has been a busy week and I am catching up on the things I missed.. including posting! Since it is a changing season I am really excited to be posting some boots and flats that are appropriate for autumn! I have yet to find a pair of studded boots that work for me, but I think that this pair might be it. I am hesitant to purchase a pair of boots without trying the on... so I will have to wait until I am out shopping at a department store that carries Steve Madden to try these on.

Although I am not usually a fan of suede pumps, the maroon colour makes the fabric less noticeable. I really like the studded bow detailing and the mix of gold, black and maroon. What do you think? Is it a little too busy or just right?

The Week of Taylor Swift.

In my post yesterday I talked about how Taylor Swift has a new album coming out. I have posted her first single "We are never ever getting back together" and I am now going to post her third single, "Red". I am surprised that Taylor has already released three singles from this album and it hasn't been released, but I guess she has a whole marketing team figuring out the best way to make some sales.

So far, this single is my favourite. I am looking forward to hearing the new CD, Red, in full. At this point, the singles are not what I had expected in comparison to her previous three albums. I am not sure if I like Taylor's evolution in sound and style or I am just nostalgic for the past. I'll wait to make my final decision when I buy the CD later this month.

Style Watch: Taylor Swift PT II

With a new album out and a trendy new look, it's fair to say that I am going to be talking about Taylor Swift a lot in the coming weeks. Just in time to promote her new album, Red, Taylor has done two major cover shoots, Marie Claire UK and Glamour US. I am pleased to post some lovely photos of her from the Glamour Shoot! As a side note, I cannot believe this girl's look-- she is an amazing singer and has the body of a model!

 

My favourite is definitely the third I've posted; she is poised and beautiful. I also LOVE the outfit that she is wearing, gold sparkle and red tulle? I would wear this any day. Since Taylor has been doing a lot of promotion lately, I hope they let her keep this Burberry sequined tank and Dior skirt and she wears it on a red carpet. I would love to see what it looks like in full!
